The village looks deserted, so head to the west and steal the bananas from the bowl of fruit. Land on the only beach on this part of the island and go to the village. Ride your boat around the island to the part past the mountains that you couldn't reach before. Just when you think you seen the best part of this game another scene comes along that is even better and it plays like that all the way thru the entire game.
